In the future, we will gather again and eleven schools will become one for the week!
The last (2019) Senior REM was hosted in Dakwäkäda (Haines Junction), the Traditional Territory of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations. Over one hundred Grades 10-12 students and educators from Carmacks, Carcross, Dawson City, Faro, Mayo, Old Crow, Pelly Crossing, and Watson Lake gathered in Dakwäkäda/Haines Junction for a week of engaging hands-on activities, facilitated by Yukon experts, including Yukon First Nations Elders and Knowledge-Keepers. The Senior REM is a unique, experiential approach that allows students to pursue their personal learning interests and connect with their peers in other Yukon communities. Senkor REM participants earn two credits for completing intensive daytime sessions and evening learning activities.
